Somaliland and Puntland troops begin military buildup along disputed border.

MOGADISHU (online warar) - On Monday, Somaliland and Puntland forces began a renewed military buildup in a contested border area in the Togdheer region, raising fears of possible clashes.

The Somaliland army has deployed hundreds of new troops near the town of Buhodle in the Togdheer region, seizing villages previously controlled by Puntland authorities.

Separatist regional forces had captured the town of Bo'ame weeks earlier, infuriating Puntland's authorities, who threatened a counter-offensive to retake the town.
